Laulima Government Solutions is looking for a Help Desk Administrator to support our contract in Portsmouth, VA.

Description of Responsibilities:

  • Assists in collecting new requirements for development to meet customer’s needs.

  • Assists in resolving complex IT program and implementation issues, IT systems that require coordination and compatibility.

  • Provides suggestions as appropriate on situations requiring changes in policies, or broad program goals .

  • Analyzes and refines systems requirements, translating systems requirements into applications prototypes.

  • Evaluates new applications software technologies.

  • Writes and maintains program documentation.

  • Ensures that the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices to the delivery of application software services.

  • Database administration (OBA) to include data audits, transfer sensitive health information and personal information on secure networks.

  • Extraction and transferring of data requested by Program Managers while maintaining data protection under HIPPA and Privacy Act regulations.

  • Tracking changes regarding DoD instructions and guidelines to ensure accurate information is provided to all service members.

  • Ensure customer suggestions, feedback and program enhancements are provided to leadership in a timely manner.

  • Supply data to Epidemiologist in a zipped and password encrypted file.

  • Verification of the validity of System Authorization Access Requests forms from service members requesting local administrator privileges to EDHA.

  • Briefing Independent Duty Core man (IDC) quarterly of the importance of individuals completing Pre-Deployment, Post-Deployment and Post-Deployment Health Reassessments (PDHRA) in a timely manner.

Degree/Education/Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field with government approval.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in IT environment

  • Advanced Excel and Access Database knowledge

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), training guides, quick references, tutorials, and User Guides.

  • Experience providing technical help desk support to all end users and customers.

Experience with Naval Disease Reporting System Internet (NDRSi), Army Disease Reporting System Internet (ADRSi), Air Force Disease Reporting Disease System Internet (AFDRSi),

  • Electronic Deployment Health Assessment (eDHA), and Health Risk Assessment (HRA), Periodic Health Assessment (PHA), and Health Interest Questionnaire (HIQ) preferred.

  • Defense Collaboration Services (DCS)

  • Putty Secure File Transfer Protocol (Psftp)

  • WinSCP

  • Army Aviation and Missile Research Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC SAFE)

The options for hours worked are listed below:

Onsite schedule 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 0600-1400

Onsite schedule 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 1000-1800
