ASRC Federal Holding Company Engineer Technician in Portsmouth, Virginia

Arctic Slope Mission Services (ASMS), a subsidiary of ASRC Federal Holding Company, is seeking Engineering Technicians of various levels in anticipation of a favorable award of the upcoming contract supporting the United States Coast Guard Command, Control, and Communications Engineering Center (C3CEN) in Portsmouth, VA.


Incumbent responsible for the engineering, design, and installation of telecommunications systems and electronic systems. Assembles or installs equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting. Experience performing repair, maintenance, or installation of electronic equipment and systems A Secret clearance is required for this position. MF, HF, VHF, UHF and SATCOM Communication Systems (including high and low power); US/NATO Secure Voice Systems; Radar Systems; Navigation Systems, SINS and DGPS Radio Beacon Transmitters, telephone systems, IP-PBX Key Systems; and, USCG RADHAZ/EMI control measures at least one (1 -10) years technical experience with the following equipment/systems. Incumbent may assemble or construct simple or standard equipment or parts; and services or repairs simple instruments or equipment. Conducts a variety of tests using established methods, prepares test specimens, adjusts and operates equipment and records test data, pointing out deviations resulting from equipment malfunction or observational errors.


Education: Preferred Associate degree in engineering or completion of USCG or DOD Technical Schools. Substituted experience: Comprehensive knowledge of DOD military specifications and standards; and, USCG specifications and standards. Demonstrated Expert: Two to Seven (2- 7) years concurrent, relevant experience in engineering, design and maintenance and installation of USCG Command, Control and Communication Systems. A Secret clearance is required for this position.
